- Read assigned message boards for Terms of Service violations and remove posts as necessary; communicate with members regarding reasons that posts were removed.
- Educate and engage members on both the rules of the community, as well as seeding with content for discussion.
- Answer questions from the community on the message boards, private messages, and email. Communicate with the moderation team regarding issues requiring escalation.
- Communicate with Community Manager on trends, interesting posts and members and questions and problems that arise during daily assignment.
Required Experience:
- Demonstrated experience moderating online communities.
- Ability to work independently as well as be an active part of a team of moderators.
- Strong familiarity with enforcing Terms of Service and community standards while creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Excellent written and verbal skills necessary.
