Position Responsibilities:
  • Read assigned message boards for Terms of Service violations and remove posts as necessary; communicate with members regarding reasons that posts were removed.
  • Educate and engage members on both the rules of the community, as well as seeding with content for discussion.
  • Answer questions from the community on the message boards, private messages, and email. Communicate with the moderation team regarding issues requiring escalation.
  • Communicate with Community Manager on trends, interesting posts and members and questions and problems that arise during daily assignment.

Required Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience moderating online communities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as be an active part of a team of moderators.
  • Strong familiarity with enforcing Terms of Service and community standards while creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Excellent written and verbal skills necessary.
