OCMforum: Online Community Facilitation Manager - Salt Lake City - OCMforum

Smart Bomb Interactive is looking for an Online Community Facilitation Manager for National Geographic's Animal Jam, an online virtual world for kids 5-9 launching in the summer of 2010.

This position would be responsible for helping develop, cultivate and maintain the culture inside of our moderated virtual world for kids, including, but not limited to:

• Writing copy for in-world events and announcements
  
• Developing and managing events in-world
  
• Working with creative and marketing team to incorporate audience ideas into new content and cross-promotional events
  
• Reporting on audience trends, needs and desires
  
• Managing part-time staff of in-world facilitators

Relevant experience/skills:

• Working with children in environments of play/amusement
  
• Experience in children’s online communities a plus
  
• Ability to be spontaneous and fun, while maintain professionalism
  
• Ability to learn new software easily
  
• Exceptional communication and diplomacy skills
  
• Proficiency in office technology and software
  
• Technical and creative writing ability
  
• Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant business experience
