Greetings everyone! I am a Project Manager hoping to transition into Community Management. For many years, I have unofficially been a community manager because I've been running enterprise forums, moderating live chat channels, facilitating collaborative events between client and vendors, incorporating video for training, and building infrastructure to support these solutions. I didn't realize there was a whole profession dedicated to it until this year. I'm hoping to learn how one transitions into a dedicated community management position because that is one of my passions. New media and Sustainability are my other passions. My ideal job would be setting up new media to support a community for sustainability and then managing that community. ;)

Hi Barbara, its nice to meet you.

Like yourself I had been involved with online communities for many years and didn't realize until about 12 months ago that what I was doing actually had a name, other than jack of all trades :D

I've tried to add some resources as I've found them (actually need to get cracking and put some more on the list.) Twitter is also a great way of connecting with Community Managers. I don't know if you are on Twitter, but if you are check out my profile, where I've added a list of Community managers.
